Small Changes = Big Results

I hope everyone enjoyed the last summer holiday!  I took a few days to get caught up on work and take some personal time.  Summer is slipping away and I hate to miss a minute of it!

I think that one thing I can share that I have learned over the past year is that doing little things add up.  Step by step you can start to impact your overall health and implement new habits and way of life.  Below are just a few things that I have started doing:

  • Reading labels and staying away from things with a long ingredient list of things I don't know.
  • Watching portion sizes.
  • Trying to stay as "natural" as possible.  I no longer do gel manicures, after I realized the damage it was causing my nails and not to mention soaking up the chemicals in my skin to remove them.
  • Changing makeup and toiletries to more "clean" ingredients.  Your skin is the largest organ in your body and soaks up all the "bad" ingredients.
  • Cutting out or back on soft drinks or alcohol.
  • Choosing grilled options on menus and being aware of calories.
  • Meal prepping when possible to avoid the fast food drive thru
  • Start cooking with healthy fats and avoid seed oils.
  • Make homemade options such as spaghetti sauce to cut the amount of sugar and added preservatives.
I'm sure there are many changes that we could all think of that would begin to add up!  The above are just a beginning of a change of lifestyle.  I hope I gave you some ideas and pray that God blesses your initiative!

  1. I too have taken small steps but sometimes seems like big ones, ha.
I've taken as much sugar from my diet as I can. I use Monkfruit substitute now.
I eat keto breads, drink lots of lemon tea, eat more fresh foods and take my supplements.
Doing these things have been helping my health and I've been gradually losing weight. Thankful!
